THE UNITY (TAWHID) IS WHAT ALLAH WILLS AND SATAN’S JOB IS DIVIDING INTO SECTS

The only religion of Allah in the universe is the Hanif religion of our father Abraham. That religion is the religion of Adam (PBUH), Noah (PBUH), Moses (PBUH), Jesus (PBUH), Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). That religion is the religion of all humanity today.

This religion contains three principles:

1- ONENESS (wahdat- to believe in one Allah)

2- UNITY (tawhid- the single congregation of those who wish to reach Allah)

3- SURRENDER (of the spirit, physical body, soul and will to Allah)

The thing that Satan is most successful at is dividing people into groups and factions. Because there is no influence of Satan in the congregation. Whenever a person separates from the congregation, he becomes a prey for Satan. Allah Almighty says:

Ar-Rum-30: Then set yourself (your physical body), turning your face upright to the true Religion, as a Hanif. It is the Hanif nature that in which Allah has created all mankind in. There is no altering in Allah’s creation that is the everlasting Religion (that will last from beginning to end). However most people do not know.

Ar-Rum-31: Turn to Him (wish your spirit to reach Allah while you are alive) and be pious towards Him. And keep up the Prayer and (thus) be not of the mushriqun (do not be among those who associate partners with Him).

Ar-Rum-32: (Don't be of those mushriqun (idolaters)) who are divided in their Religion and became groups, all groups are rejoicing in what they have.

Although there is only one religion of Allah in the universe, Satan has created hundreds of sects. Our Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), the Sultan of Nabîs, decrees the following:

“The Jews were divided into 71 sects, all of them will enter Hell except one. The Christians were divided into 72 sects, all of them will enter Hell except one. My ummah (community) will further be divided into 73 sects, all of them will enter Hell except one." (S: Abu Dawûd, Sunnah, 1; Tirmidhi, Faith, 18; Ibn Mâjah, Fiten, 17; Ibn Hanbal, 2/332)

The situation our world in currently is one chaos. This chaos stems from people being divided into factions in religion. Satan's intention is for each faction to be hostile to the other groups.

At the root of factionalism is the fact that people are in hidden shirk (deifying their own desires of souls). The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: ‘I do not fear open shirk for my Ummah (community). No one will worship the sun, the moon, the stars, or the idols they carve with their own hands. What I fear for my Ummah is hidden shirk.’” (S: Ibn Mâjah, Zuhd, 21)

Allah describes hidden idolatry in Al-Jathiyah-23:

Al-Jathiya-23: Have you seen a man who deified his soul's desire? And Allah has left him astray upon a (useless) knowledge, and sealed his sense of hearing and sealed his heart, and covered a veil (gishawah) over his sight. In this case who might convey him to hidayah (guidance) other than Allah? Do you still not deliberate (think)?

Hidden shirk (deifying their own desires of souls) is when a person makes his soul's vices his gods. Everyone who does not wish to reach Allah makes their desires as gods, and lives a life in which they follow their soul as the owner of useless and false knowledge. In today's world, knowledge that contradicts the Holy Qur'an and all the holy books, and lacks the wish to reach Allah, remembrance of the name of Allah (dhikr), and surrenders is useless knowledge. Although people may gain degrees through their deeds, their deeds are in vain because they do not have the wish to reach Allah.

Al-Kahf-105: They are those who denied the Verses of their Lord and reaching Him (the spirit’s reaching Allah before death). So their deeds became vain and therefore We will not set up a scale for them on the Day of Resurrection.

Az-Zumar-65: And I swear, it has been revealed to you and to those before you: “Surely if you commit shirk (if you do not wish to reach Allah), all your deeds would certainly be rendered vain, and you would certainly be of those who fall into a Loss.
