Another zulmânî (dark) knowledge, hypnosis, easily brings people to a narrative outside of will. A hypnotized person submits to another will, obeys the commands of that will, and perhaps reveals secrets they might not want to because that will wants them to.
Dark forms of knowledge such as magnetism and hypnotism—through which one will can influence another without their consent—can never be used on the divine path, on the path of Allah. For a miracle (karâmah) is a bestowal from Allah. And such a bestowal is granted in accordance with the servant’s worthiness. Since there can be no compulsion in the way of Allah, none of Allah’s saints are ever given the authority to control another by forcibly influencing their will.
