REINCARNATION
REINCARNATION
Reincarnation is defined as the spirit or soul of a person taking on a new existence in different bodies. According to this belief, the spirit leaves the human body upon death, abandons the deceased body, and then enters another body that is born into the world, continuing its life. This idea is one of the tricks used by Satan to lead people astray from the path of Allah.
The devil makes the following claims in favor of reincarnation:
"Allah is just; He does not wrong anyone. However, some people come into the world ill, disabled or blind. If people only lived once, wouldn't this be unjust? People should come to the world repeatedly, so that if they are ill one time, they will be healthy the next time. Or whoever is healthy today may be disabled in another life."
Not content with this, Satan develops this idea further as follows:
"Everything evolves, and so do the spirits. The spirit lives in one body and then passes into another, and this cycle continues forever. Eventually, all spirits evolve, reach perfection, and when the Day of Judgment comes, everyone will enter Paradise."
The fundamental aim of this misleading idea is to distance people from worship. Satan says: “Why pray? Why fast? Why give zakât? Don’t bother. Just focus on living! In each new life, a part of your soul will be healed, and in the end, like everyone else, you will enter Paradise.”
Unfortunately, many people believe in this lie nowadays. However, the Holy Qur'an does not provide any information that supports reincarnation. Allah clearly states that man is born once in this world and dies once. The verses that those who believe in reincarnation cite as support do not speak of being born a second time, but rather of being resurrected after death.
