OCCULT CULTURE AND PARAPSYCHOLOGY
OCCULT CULTURE AND PARAPSYCHOLOGY
The two main disciplines that contain Satan’s occult knowledge are occult culture and parapsychology.
Occult culture is derived from the word “occult,” which means “hidden.” This culture essentially represents the knowledge associated with Satan. Parapsychology, on the other hand, is a field concerned with unknown psychic powers beyond psychology. Unfortunately, chairs and academic departments related to this field have even been established in universities. In some schools or private programs, introductory elective courses or club activities related to parapsychology have been created. These forms of occult knowledge do not lead people to happiness, but they rather are a means of deep spiritual distress which leads them to unhappiness. Whether through occult culture or parapsychology, those who engage in these disciplines are considered to establish a connection with Satan and step into his dark world.
Occult culture includes various elements such as yoga, meditation, astral travel, magic, sorcery, huddâm (using jinns for help), spirit-calling, reincarnation, astrology, mediumship, and hypnosis. Through these disciplines, Satan approaches people and diverts them toward a path that leads away from true salvation.
Hadith: "Our Prophet (PBUH) once drew a straight line on the ground and said, ‘This is the path of Allah.’ He then drew other lines to the right and left of this line and said, 'These are other paths. Each of these paths has certain devils inviting people to error.'" (Source: Ibn Majah, Introduction, 1.)
The Sirât al‑Mustaqîm that will lead people to Allah is a path of happiness and bliss. On the other hand, there are paths that will lead people to eternal misery, and on each of them there are devils inviting them to error.
