Prophet Khidr Carrying Queen of Sheba's Throne
This tayy al-makân is a special means that facilitates the transfer of something from one place to another.
An-Naml-38: (Solomon) said: “O chieftains! Which of you will bring to me her throne before they come to me in submission?
An-Naml-39: Ifrît of the jinn said: “I will bring it to you before you rise up from your place. I am strongly certain for it ”.
An-Naml-40: The one who had the knowledge from the Book (Khidr) said: “I will bring it to you before you blink your eye”. Then when (Solomon) saw it set in his presence (before him), he said: “This is a mercy of my Lord that he may try me whether I am grateful or ungrateful”. And whoever is grateful, he is grateful only for his own soul, and whoever is ungrateful, then surely my Lord is Self- Sufficient (Rich, Free of all needs), Honoured (the Most Generous).
So, our relationship with Allah encompasses certain duties at the physical standards and also includes certain spiritual pleasures beyond the physics. Within this design, there exist three types of tayy al-makân that Allah has prepared, ready to grant you according to your merit and worthiness, even though He has not yet revealed them to you.
As a result, while the astral travel is a dark practice, tayy al-makân is a luminous grace bestowed by Allah on His saints.
