DHIKR IS THE GUARANTEE OF TRUE HAPPINESS; MEDITATION AND YOGA ARE COUNTER PRACTICES TO DHIKR

Dhikr is a spiritual code (cipher) brought into practice through the repetition of the Name of Allah — “Allah, Allah, Allah.” Allah Almighty has revealed the secret of this code in Surah al-Muzzammil verse 8.

Al-Muzzammil-8: And, repeat the Name of your Lord and detach yourself from everything (worldly distractions) and reach Him.

So, delivering the spirit to Allah has been made obligatory on us by Allah, surrendering the physical body, the soul, and the will to Allah, all of these are realized through "dhikr" (repetition of the name of Allah).

Happiness cannot be achieved at any level without dhikr. Your happiness develops in parallel with the level of your dhikr. Allah Almighty has made little dhikr, abundant dhikr (more than half of the day), and continuous dhikr obligatory.

Little Dhikr: "And, repeat the Name of your Lord and detach yourself from everything (worldly distractions) and reach Him." (Al-Muzzammil, 8).

Abundant Dhikr: “O you who are âmenû (those who wish to reach Allah)! Engage in dhikr of Allah abundantly (for more than half of the day)..” (Ahzâb, 41)

Continuous Dhikr: “And when you have completed the prayer (salat), repeat the name of Allah (dhikrullah) standing, sitting, or lying (down) on your sides (with a continuous remembrance), but when you are in safety, then perform the prayer (salat) according to its rituals, as it should be performed; surely the prayer (salat) is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours as an obligation.” (An-Nisâ, 103)

In today’s religious practice, we look at the 32 obligations (farâʾid); dhikr is not among them. We look at the 54 obligations; again, dhikr is not there. Iblîs, who stole the camel along with its load, has succeeded in eliminating dhikr. Over the course of 14 centuries, people have followed not the commands of Allah but the commands of Satan, and they have removed dhikr from among the obligations.
