HOW TO REACH A RELIGIOUS GUIDE (MURSHID)
Not everyone who depends on a religious guide (murshid) can benefit from submission. They can benefit only if they wish to reach Allah. Allah does not appoint a religious guide for those who do not wish to reach Allah.
Al-Kahf-17: And you will see how at sunrise, the sun passed from the right side of the cave, and at sunset, it passed from the left side of them. And they were in its wide space. This is from the verses (miracles) of Allah. Whom Allah will bring back to Himself, here is the one who turned (his spirit returned to Allah until death)! And whom He leaves in Astray (who did not wish to return the spirit of Allah to death), then for him there is no a Religious Guide (that is, a Holy Teacher who will educate them)!
The heart of the person who wishes to reach Allah undergoes many special processes.
Al-An'am-125: And whomsoever Allah wills to return to Himself He slits and opens his breast for submission (Islam). And whomsoever He wills to leave in Astray, He makes his breast strait and narrow as if he were ascending to the sky. Thus does Allah lay punishment (torment, difficulty, narrowness) on those who do not believe.
Az-Zumar-22: Whose bosom Allah slit (opened) for Islam (to submit to Allah) so that he is upon a light from his Lord, is not he? Woe to those whose hearts are darkened (and hardened) from the praise of Allah! Those are obviously astray.
The person starts dhikr (repetition of the name of Allah). The light of mercy leaking into the heart through dhikr creates reverence. The owners of reverence have the authority to ask Allah for their religious guide through the Salat-ul Hajat (prayer of need).
Al-Baqarah-45: And seek (special) assistance (from Allah) with patience and Prayer (the Desire prayer)! And truly it (asking Allah about a Murshid/guide who will make them reach Allah with Desire prayer) is extremely hard except for the owners of reverence (2% of light of mercy accumulation in the soul’s heart through the praise of the Name of Allah).
Al-Baqarah-46: (These owners of reverence are those) who are certain that they are going to meet with their Lord (while they are alive) and that they shall return to Him (after death as well).
Whoever wishes to reach Allah, whoever is the owner of reverence, Allah will definitely show him the most appropriate religious guide (murshid).
Until the moment we reach our religious guide, there are only vices in the heart of our soul; there is hatred, resentment, anger, enmity, but no love. When we repent before our religious guide (murshid), the purification of the soul begins. As we repeat the name "Allah", the lights of grace accumulate in our hearts and our souls are purified in seven stages.
