WHAT DOES SPIRITUAL PATH MEAN?

Spiritual path is the physical path that leads the human spirit to God Almighty. It is the exact path that our religious guide leads us to and helps our spirit get delivered through to our Lord.

Our spirit transcends the seven heavens and passes through the seven realms to reach the Essence of God in the Nothingness. This is the very journey of spiritual ascent.

When a person dies, those who come to offer condolences say, “God has taken the trust and carried it away.” The trust is our spirit. With death, every person’s spirit returns to God. However, what has been made obligatory upon us in Holy Books is to surrender our spirit to God while living in this worldly life.

“And they bring what God has commanded them to bring (their spirits) to Him (God). And they have humility before their Lord and fear of a bad account (entering hell).” (RAD-21 HOLY QURAN)

“They are those who are patient, desiring the Face of their Lord and who establish prayer and spend of what We have provided them, secretly and openly. And they repel evil with good deeds. For them is the best outcome in this world.” (Rad-22-Holy Quran).” (RAD-22 HOLY QURAN)

The fundamental principle of being on the Spiritual Path is to be devoted to the spiritual guide. A person who does not wish to reach God cannot be entered to God’s companionship, hence cannot be on the Spiritual Path, regardless of which guide they repent before. The wish to reach God and sincerely repenting in front of the guide makes one a member of the Path. The statement, “The designation of paths belongs to our Lord,” means “The designation of spiritual guide belongs to God.” It is essential for us to ask Him through the “prayer of need” to determine who our personal guide is.

SPECIAL PRAYER OF NEED (HAJAT PRAYER)

A person who has a request from Allah or who wants to reach his religious guide (murshid) performs the Hajat Prayer. This prayer is performed on the night connecting Thursday to Friday, or on the nights of the Holy Days. If this is not possible, it can be performed on any other night. Firstly, a full ablution is made. After intending to pray the Hajat Prayer, the following surahs are recited:

Rakat 1. Subhanaka + Al-Fatiha + 3 Ayatal Kursi

Rakat 2. Al-Fatiha + Al-Ikhlas + Al-Falaq + An-Nas,

While sitting:Ettehiyyâtü

Rakat 3.Al-Fatiha + Al-Ikhlas + Al-Falaq + An-Nas

Rakat 4. Al-Fatiha + Al-Ikhlas + Al-Falaq + An-Nas

While sitting Ettehiyyâtü + Allahümme Salli + Allahümme Barik + Rabbena

After the salat (prayer) is over, the person asks Allah for whatever it is that he needs or for his religious guide (murshid). One should lie down without speaking. The Qibla should remain on the right side of the bed and one should lie on one's side with the front of the body facing the Qibla. After lying down, recite Âyetel Kürsî three times. Allah is asked for whatever the person needs, be it worldly or spiritual, or for a religious guide (murshid). This is followed by silent repetition the name of Allah ("zikri-hafî").

Lying on one's side, the right ear will rest on the pillow. The head is moved slightly from side to side so that the heartbeat (due to the pressure in the ear) can be heard clearly. The person silently repeats the name of Allah inwardly, saying "Allah, Allah, Allah" with each double beat of the heart.

If there is no dream about the goal on the night of the first prayer, one should continue to pray the Hajat Prayer on the nights from Thursday to Friday until the goal is reached. It can also be performed every night.
