The Invitation of Allah
The relationship between Allah and those who wish to reach Him is a relationship based on love.
If a person follows the desire of the soul, then he is one who wrongs his own soul. Even if he thinks that he is within the religion, in reality he is not. He will live this worldly life being restless and unhappy in a practice of religion based on bidahs (innovations), and after death his destination will be Hell. The relationship between such people and Allah requires the punishment to be upon them. For every mistake committed, the spirit that represents Allah, by the authority He has granted, will certainly punish such people in proportion to their wrongdoing.
Al-Qasas-50: Then if they do not respond to you (if they do not comply with your call to make them reach Hidayah), know that they only follow their low desires. Who is in more Misguidance than he who follows his low desires with no guidance (religious guide) from Allah? Surely Allah does not deliver the unjust people to Hidayah.
In the 50th verse of Surah Al-Qasas, Allah Almighty makes it clear that those who do not accept His invitation are the ones who follow the desires of their souls.
The Invitation of the Rasûl (Messenger): The invitation to reach Allah.
The invitation of Allah: the invitation to wish to reach Allah.
The invitation of Allah consists of two parts:
Thus, our religion is a religion of ease. Whoever responds to the invitation of Allah Almighty and sincerely wishes to reach Allah from the heart is the one who will attain salvation both in this world and in the Hereafter.
Al-Baqarah-185 The month of Ramadan, in which the Quran was revealed from Huda (Allah) is a means of Hidayah (guidance to reach Allah) for people, and a clear sign (clear evidence), and Discernment (between truth and lies). Therefore, whoever of you witnesses (sights the new moon) the month of Ramadan must fast in it, and whoever is sick or upon a journey, then (must fast) a (like) number of other days. Allah desires for you ease; and He does not desire for you difficulty. He (desires) that you should complete the number and that you should glorify Allah because He has guided you back (to Himself) and that you may be grateful (for all the ease).
Al-An'am-48: We don't send the Messengers (for anything) but as givers of glad tidings and as Warners. Then whoever believes (wishes their spirits to reach Allah before death) and does righteous deeds (that cleanse and completely purify the soulsâ hearts), there is no fear upon them nor do they grieve.
Allah Almighty states that:
The relationship between the true believers (those who have faith inscribed in their hearts) and Allah is a relationship based on reward and glad tidings.
âMake things easy, do not make them difficult. Give glad tidings1 do not drive people away.â (S: Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Knowledge, Hadith 69; Book of Manners, Hadith 6125. Sahih Muslim, Book of Jihad, Hadith 1732â1733)
Our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), repeated three times: âReligion is sincere advice, religion is sincere advice, religion is sincere advice.â Realizing the importance of his insistence, the companions asked: âTo whom, O Messenger of Allahâ He replied: âTo Allah, to His Book, to His Messenger, to the Muslim leaders, and to all the Muslims.â (S: Sahih Muslim, Book of Faith, Hadith 95; Sunan Abi Dawud, Book of Manners, Hadith 4944; Sunan an-Nasaâi, Book of Allegiance, Hadith 156)
Being a person of taqwa (being pious) is possible by wishing to reach Allah from the heart. While salvation is so easy and so simple, people fail to comprehend the invitation of Allah Almighty and the importance of responding to that invitation. Unfortunately, many religious teachers today do not convey Allah’s clear path to salvation. Instead, they often promote a complicated, distant, and superstition-based understanding of religion that drives people away rather than drawing them closer to the truth.
Qaf-32 This (paradise) is what were promised, to all AwwĂąb (the one whose spirit has taken shelter in Allah by returning to Him) and HafĂźz (those who have the Spirit of the Imam of the Time above their heads),
Qaf-31: And paradise, not being far away, was near to the owners of takwa (spiritual armor).
Allah Almighty says that:
Allah Almighty has tied the salvation of man, whom He created as the caliph of earth, to a single wish. The gateway to hidayah (guidance) is the wish to reach Allah. Our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in his Noble Hadith said: âParadise is closer to one of you than the strap of his sandal, and so is the Hellfire.â thereby expressing this reality. (S: Sahih al-Bukhari, Tajrid al-Sarih, Hadith 2036)
âThe religion is ease.â (S: Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Faith, Hadith 16, 29; Sahih Muslim, Book of Prayer, Hadith 283; al-Muwatta, Book of Prayer at Night, Hadith 4; Sunan an-Nasaâi, Book of Night Prayer, Hadith 1; Sunan Abi Dawud, Book of Prayer, Hadith 317; Musnad Ahmad 5:69)
As our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
Yunus-25: And Allah invites to the Abode of Surrender (Peace) and guides whom he wills (those he wills to deliver to the Abode of Surrender and to His Essence) to Sırat Al-Mustaqßm (the Path directed towards Allah).
Ar-Ra'd-14 To Him (to Allah Himself) is the call of the Truth (Allah). And those they call upon besides Him do not respond to them with a thing. They are like the one who stretches forth his palms towards water that it may reach his mouth. But it will not reach him. And the invitation of the disbelievers is only to Darkness (as the water cannot reach their mouths, those who are in Darkness cannot reach Hidayah (guidance) either).
In the Holy Qur’an, Allah Almighty invites all humanity to His Essence.
Our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) says in another hadith:
The relationship between Allah and those who are not believers but who consider themselves to be believers is a relationship based on torment.
